Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan and his delegation visit CAMCE

         On September 22nd, Wang Bo, Chairman of CMEC Group and CAMCE, met with Kazakhstan Minister of Transportation Karabayev. Minister Counselor Askar of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China attended the meeting. 

 

  Wang Bo introduced the development history, business areas, and advantages of CMEC Group and its member enterprises. Wang Bo said that Kazakhstan has an open and friendly business environment. As active practitioners of the "the Belt and Road" Initiative, CMEC Group and its member enterprises have accumulated rich experience in project implementation in Central Asia. CMECone of the member enterprises is undertaking the construction of an 800-bed comprehensive hospital project in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, and CAMCE, another member enterprise, is undertaking the construction of a soda ash plant with an annual production output of 500,000 tons in Kazakhstan. Regarding the transportation infrastructure projects that Minister Karabayev is concerned about, Wang Bo focused on introducing the relevant achievements of the Laos Luang Prabang International Airport project and Nepal Pokhara International Airport project that have been implemented and completed by CAMCE. 

 

  Karabayev expressed appreciation for the rich overseas project construction experience of CAMCE, especially in the field of airport construction, and welcomed the project docking between CAMCE and the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on cooperation in fields such as airports and highways. Karabayev stated that both sides should jointly explore cooperation opportunities, fully support and promote practical cooperation between the two sides, and make greater contributions to deep cooperation and common development between China and Kazakhstan.
